Xochitl Gomez’ parents – All about her bringingup

Unless you are Xochitl Gomez

Very few people get the chance to star in a Marvel film, much less one as significant as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, on their big-budget debut. In the most recent Marvel flick, the teenage Latina played the multifaceted America Chaves.

Gomez said of Chaves, “She [is] a powerful, smart, charismatic, queer Latina.” People will feel seen in a manner they have never felt before because she is on screen and significant to the plot.

She’s a relatively new celebrity, thus nothing is known about her personal life. However, we have done some research and have put together an article about Xochitl Gomez’s parents.

Gomez’s father assisted her in the Multiverse of Madness by having her practice her Spanish lines.

Gomez, Xochitl

Xochitl Gomez was born in Canada to an L.A. native mother and a Mexican father. Prior to the family moving to Echo Park, she spent her first five years of life in Hollywood.

In the native Mexican language of Nahuatl, the name Xochitl is pronounced soh-cheel and means blossom.

Gomez’s upbringing in California was heavily influenced by Mexican culture, which helped her stay connected to her parents’ heritage. To People Chica, she stated:

“My babysitter and all the kids I played with were from Mexico. Since my parents speak Spanish at home, I feel as though I have experienced both cultures, which has influenced who I am as a person.

When she discovered that she had Spanish lines in Multiverse of Madness, Xochitl was delighted since she could practice them with her father. “It was really heartwarming to see how excited he got when he realized that I was going to be speaking Spanish in the film,” Gomez remarked to Complex.

“He kind of helped me chose those phrases and the intonation and whatnot, and ways to make it truly extremely amusing. It was one of those bonding moments I won’t forget. One of those things makes me say, “That is a core memory,” as I reflect on it.

Gomez said on Instagram in June 2021 to wish her father a happy Father’s Day, “Happy Father’s Day to the man who was never too busy to come to a tea party under the dining table.”

Xochitl is thrilled to see more Latina presence on television and film.

When Gomez learned that she had been chosen to play America Chavez, she was with her mother. She is very close to her mother, and the two of them went to a protest against the former president’s inauguration in Washington, D.C., in 2017.

She admitted to Teen Vogue, “It took me a couple of weeks to understand that I got cast, and my mom and dad were really pleased. “To celebrate, we got a cake.”

Xochitl adored Selena Gomez and Dora the Explorer dolls because they were the only two Latina celebrities she had ever seen on television. A new generation of Latina ladies would be motivated to pursue their dreams if they had a role in Multiverse of Madness.

“[America Chaves] will] make people feel seen in a way that they have never felt before,” she said. Gomez believes that showing young people as they are will benefit them. She uttered:

“I didn’t see many girls that resembled me or belonged to my culture growing up. Latinas have historically been the subject of harsh stereotypes… It’s wonderful to see more diversity on television and film than I did while growing up.
